Seeds Left Behind
I was invited by a teacher to visit schools on the island of Flores to share my work.
Over the course of a week, I spent my mornings at two schools where, alongside talking with the students, we ran several hands-on workshops.
It was such a special and meaningful experience that I felt I had to leave something behind, a piece of me that would stay there.
So, over three afternoons I gathered enough material, and by working through the afternoons and evenings, I managed to create two unique pieces.
One now lives at Escola Primária das Lajes das Flores, and the other at Escola Básica e Secundária de Santa Cruz das Flores.
These pieces are more than just art, they’re seeds of memory, connection, and gratitude for the warmth and curiosity of everyone I met.
May they remind us all that creativity can grow anywhere, even in the most remote place.
