As part of the Colorir a Praia project, I was invited by the Municipality of Praia for a one-month artistic residency in Santiago, Cape Verde.

Returning to this island felt like stepping back into a place that already held something of me: reconnecting with friends, forming new bonds, and letting time open space for encounters that remain.

Between workshops, collecting materials, and days shared with others, I was constantly surrounded by children, joy, and new friendships. Everything happened with intensity, generosity, and a very special kind of energy.

I had the privilege of sharing this experience with an incredible assistant, and together we lived something that felt both meaningful and unforgettable.
